Tool categories

The same 20 tools as the full list, grouped by the job they do rather than by name — useful when you know what you need to happen but not what it is called.

6 categories

Wheel Tools

Spinning wheel tools for names, numbers, yes/no questions and household chores. Each wheel picks the result first, then animates to it.

Name Pickers

Paste a list of names and draw one winner or many. Optional weights, no-repeat draws, CSV import and downloadable results.

Team and Group Tools

Split a roster into random teams, balanced groups or a printable seating chart. Supports skill scores, leaders and keep-apart rules.

Classroom Tools

Classroom-friendly random tools: call on students without repeats, build presentation orders and print a seating chart.

Decision Tools

Stuck between options? Use a yes/no wheel, a weighted decision maker, a restaurant picker or a coin flip to settle it.

Random Generators

Generate random numbers, dice rolls, coin flips, letters, colors, dates and passwords directly in your browser.

Choosing between a wheel and a picker

The categories overlap on purpose, because the same draw can be presented in two different ways. A wheel is for when the pick has to happen visibly, in front of people who need to accept the result — a classroom, a stream, a room deciding where to eat. A picker is for when you just need the answer: it draws from a pasted list in one step, handles thousands of entries without turning them into unreadable slices, and gives you something you can export.

The randomness underneath is identical either way. Every tool here draws with the Web Crypto API, decides the result before any animation starts, and keeps your list in your browser. Which category you pick from changes the presentation and the input limits, never the odds.

If you would rather start from something already filled in, the wheel templates open with entries on them, and the guides explain the method behind each kind of draw.
