Privacy Policy
What this site does and does not collect, how browser storage is used, and why your lists never leave your device.
Last updated: 2026-07-26
The short version
The tools on this site run entirely in your browser. The names, numbers and lists you enter are processed on your device and are never transmitted to us. We do not have accounts, we do not have a database of your entries, and we could not retrieve your list if you asked us to.
What happens to the lists you enter
Everything you type into a tool is held in the page’s memory while the tab is open. When you close or reload the tab, it is gone — unless you deliberately saved it.
Files you import are read with the browser’s File API and parsed locally. They are not uploaded. There is no request in any tool that carries your entries anywhere.
Browser storage
Data may be stored in your browser’s localStorage under keys beginning with “wt:”. Keys from the site’s previous name are copied across once, under “rt365:”, so a returning visitor does not lose saved work.
Preferences, stored automatically: your theme choice, sound and animation settings, celebration preference, recently used tools and favourites. These contain no personal data.
The wheel you are working on, stored automatically: so that reloading the page or coming back tomorrow does not lose it. This does include the entries you typed. You can switch it off with “Remember the wheel I am working on” in the Saved wheels panel, which also deletes the stored copy — and it is worth switching off on a shared or classroom computer.
Your content, stored only when you ask: wheels you save with “Save”, lists you save with “Save list” on a tool page, and draw history if you tick “keep this history in this browser”.
Class rosters, giveaway entrant lists, contact details and draw notes are never uploaded. Everything stored stays on the device you saved it on.
You can delete all of it at any time — see “Clearing your data” below.
Sharing
There are two share buttons and they do different things. “Share the tool only” sends the address of the page and nothing else. “Share this wheel” builds a link that contains your entries, colours, weights and settings, so the person you send it to opens the wheel you built.
A wheel link puts that data after the “#” in the address. Browsers never send the part of a URL after the “#” to a server, so your entries do not reach us, our host, a CDN cache or any analytics system — not even when the link is opened. There is no upload step and no share record on our side, which also means we cannot delete a link for you once it is out.
What a wheel link does do is carry the names to whoever receives it. That is the point of the feature and the reason a warning is shown next to the button. Do not share a wheel of student names, entrant details or anything else you would not put in a message.
On a tool page, pressing Share on a result sends only that single result and the page address — never the rest of the list.
Wheels and tool setups can also be exported as a .json file. The file is written to your device by your browser, not uploaded, and importing one reads it locally. Treat an exported file like any other document containing names.
The password generator
The Random Password Generator is stricter than the rest of the site: generated passwords are never stored, never added to draw history and never logged. They exist only in the page until you copy them.
Cookies and advertising
This site sets no cookies of its own. The only cookies that may be set are those placed by Google Analytics after you accept analytics (see the next section), and — where advertising is enabled — by the advertising provider.
The site is designed to carry advertising, and where advertising is enabled the advertising provider — Google AdSense — may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where your settings allow it. Google’s use of advertising cookies is described in its own policies, and you can manage personalisation through Google’s Ads Settings. Ads are served by the provider; we do not pass any of your list content to them, because we never have it.
No user-entered content is ever included in an ad request, an analytics event, or any other outbound call.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which tools are used and how the site performs. It records page-level information only — the pages you visit, approximate location, device and browser type — and never the contents of a list, a name, a result or a file. Your entries are never sent to it.
Analytics is off until you allow it. On your first visit a banner asks whether to enable analytics; the Google Analytics script is not loaded, and no analytics cookies are set, unless you choose “Accept analytics”. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, nothing is loaded and nothing is sent.
You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, and Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site. Google’s handling of the data it collects is governed by its own privacy policy.
Children and student data
This site is a general-audience tool site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because we do not collect personal information at all.
Teachers using the Student Picker or Seating Chart Generator should still be careful: use first names or initials, avoid entering ID numbers or contact details, do not save class lists on shared computers, and follow your school or district policy on using web tools with student information.
Your rights
Data-protection rights such as access, correction, deletion and portability apply to data a service holds about you. Because we hold none, there is nothing for us to disclose or erase — the data lives in your browser and is under your control.
If you have contacted us by email, we hold that email. Ask and we will delete it.
Clearing your data
To remove everything this site has stored: use the “Delete all stored data” button below, or clear site data for this domain in your browser settings. Both remove saved lists, saved history and preferences.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially — particularly if analytics or advertising behaviour changes — the updated date at the top of this page will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Your stored data
Checking browser storage…
This removes every key this site has created in your browser: saved wheels, the wheel you were working on, saved lists, saved draw history and preferences. It cannot be undone, and it does not affect any other site.
