How to use this template
- Spin for one of the twenty, or paste in the animals your topic is actually about.
- Turn on “Remove the winner after each spin” for a research task, so every child gets a different animal.
- Press F for full screen so the wheel reads from the back of the room.
- Save the wheel once and it is ready the next time the topic comes round.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use this for a class research project?
That is what it is for. Turn on “Remove the winner after each spin” and spin once per child — every animal is handed out exactly once, in front of everyone, so nobody thinks a friend was given the interesting one.
Can I limit it to one habitat or group?
Yes. Replace the list with just the rainforest animals, or just the mammals, and the wheel redraws around whatever you paste in.
Are the animals really picked at random?
Yes. The winner comes from your browser’s cryptographic random source and is chosen before the wheel starts turning, so nothing about the spin, the speed or the starting angle changes the result.
