Country Picker Wheel
Pick a country without picking a favourite. The wheel starts with two dozen; replace them with a continent, a shortlist or the whole world.

Editing the entries only changes your copy. Press Save in the Saved wheels panel to keep it, or reset to start again.

How to use this template
- Spin as it is for one of the twenty-four countries already on the wheel.
- To narrow it down, replace the list with the countries you are actually choosing between — one per line.
- For a whole-continent wheel, paste the list in; above about forty slices, expect to read the result from the dialog rather than the wheel.
- Turn on “Remove the winner after each spin” for a quiz that works through a set without repeating.
- Save the wheel so the same set is waiting for the next lesson or the next round.
What people use it for
- Geography lessons: spin for the country a student researches or locates on a map.
- Travel planning, when the shortlist is real and the deadlock is not.
- Quiz rounds where the category is a country nobody chose.
- Cooking nights built around a cuisine picked at random.
- Language clubs choosing where the next conversation is set.
Frequently asked questions
Does the wheel include every country?
No — it starts with twenty-four spread across the continents, because a readable wheel and a complete list are different things. Paste in whatever set you need; the draw is equally fair at any size.
Can I weight some countries more heavily?
Yes, in “Weights, colours and on/off”. A weight of 2 makes that country twice as likely as one weighted 1, and its slice grows to match, so nobody can be misled about the odds.
Can I use flags instead of names?
Flag emoji work as entry text and render on the slices in most browsers. Names are safer if the wheel is going on a projector, where emoji rendering varies.
Is the pick actually random?
Yes. The winner is chosen with the browser’s cryptographic random source before the animation starts, so the spin shows the result rather than producing it.
