Forty minutes of browsing is not a shortlist. Write down five films everybody would accept, put them on the wheel, and spin.

How to use this template

  1. Replace the prompts with actual titles — the wheel is only as good as the shortlist.
  2. Everyone adds two films. Nobody adds a film they would refuse to watch.
  3. Spin once. The rule that makes this work is agreeing in advance to accept the result.
  4. Keep a “Watched” wheel: move each title over as you go, so the shortlist does not repeat.

What people use it for

  • Film night with a group that cannot agree.
  • Working through a watchlist in a genuinely random order.
  • Choosing between the three things left in your streaming queue.
  • A film club picking the next title in front of everybody.

Frequently asked questions

Should I weight my own suggestions higher?

You can, and the slice will visibly grow, which tends to end the argument one way or another.

Can I send the shortlist to somebody else?

Yes — “Share this wheel” makes a link that carries the titles. They open the same wheel and can spin it themselves.

Does the wheel know what is streaming?

No. WheelToss has no catalogue and makes no outside requests for one. You supply the titles.
