Rock Paper Scissors Wheel
Rock, paper, scissors — spun rather than thrown. Nobody can read the other player, and nobody can throw late, which is the one argument the game always ends in.

How to use this template
- Each player spins once and the usual rules decide it: rock blunts scissors, scissors cut paper, paper covers rock.
- Spin twice on one screen when you are settling something for two people who are both watching.
- Add “Lizard” and “Spock” to the entries if you play the five-throw version.
- For a straight two-way tie with no rules to remember, the coin flip is faster.
What people use it for
- Settling something on a video call, where hands arrive a second apart and the game falls apart.
- On stream, where a wheel is visible to the chat and a hand behind a webcam is not.
- Best of three for who goes first, who pays, or who does the boring half of a task.
- Teaching the game to a child who has not got the hand shapes yet.
Frequently asked questions
Is a spun throw as fair as a real one?
Fairer. Human throws are famously predictable — people repeat winners and avoid what just beat them. The wheel draws from your browser’s cryptographic random source, so there is no pattern to read.
Can we both spin on the same screen?
Yes. Spin, note the result, spin again for the second player. If one of you spinning for both feels wrong, spin on two devices — the draws are independent either way.
How do I play rock paper scissors lizard Spock?
Add “Lizard” and “Spock” as two more entries. The wheel handles any number of options; the rules for what beats what are still yours to remember.
